The Cash App is a convenient app that allows you to pay others digitally, without having actual cash. In order to do this, you first have to add your bank or card to your Cash App account.
If you do not link a card or bank account to your Cash app you can still receive money, but you can not cash out or send money to others.

How to Add a Credit Card to Cash App Account?
- Open Cash App on your device.
- Tap on the icon of a building in the lower-left corner of the page.
- Go to the ‘My Cash’
- Tap “+ Add Credit Card” under the name of your bank.
- Enter your card information, with the correct details.
- Then tap “Add Card.” This will link the card to your cash app account.
You can also link your bank account to your cash app. Here is how you can do so:
- Open the Cash App on your iPhone or Android device.
- Tap the icon of a building in the lower-left corner of the page.
- Go to the ‘My Cash’
- Under the options for “Cash and Bitcoin,” tap the “+ Add Bank”
- If you want to add a debit card, enter your debit card information on the pop-up screen.
- Then tap “Add Card.” After that, your bank should be linked.
- If you don’t have a debit card, tap “No Card?” to add your bank account.
- Select your bank from the list of banks.
- Then enter your correct online banking username and password, and follow the on-screen instructions to link your account.
- Now your bank account is linked to your cash app.
Why Can’t You Link Your Credit Card To Cash App?
You might be unable to link your credit card to Cash App because maybe you are doing it in the wrong way. You also can not link credit cards to your cash app if you’re not using one of the supported credit cards.
Make sure that you’re trying to link an actual credit card. You might also fill the incorrect information of your credit card while entering the details to the cash app, so recheck it before submitting.
Your card might be a debit card, ATM card, or business debit card. PayPal’s cards are also not supported on Cash App, at least for now.
The only credit cards that Cash App currently accepts are credit cards from Visa, American Express, MasterCard, and Discover.

How to Add Cash From Credit Card To Cash App?
When you tap on the account balance, you can see the amount that is deposited into the wallet. You can use this Cash app to order your very own cash card too and use it as an ATM debit card with withdrawal limits.
In order to add cash, you have to link your bank account or credit card as shown above. In some places, they might tell you that the credit card is unsupported and that is a geographical limitation.
